My Story
The Journey Behind Restoring Her Strength
Hi, I’m Raven.
First, thank you for being here.
If you’ve made your way to this page, you probably want to know a little about the person behind Restoring Her Strength.
I’m glad you’re here.
Like many of the women who visit this site, my story isn’t one I would have chosen.
But it has become one that God is redeeming.
For a Long Time, I Forgot Who I Was
For many years, I lived in circumstances that slowly changed how I saw myself.
Fear became normal.
Survival became a way of life.
Little by little, I lost confidence, peace, and parts of myself I didn’t even realize were disappearing.
When you’ve lived that way long enough, you begin believing that’s simply who you are.
It wasn’t.
I just didn’t know it yet.
Leaving Wasn't the End of the Story
Walking away wasn’t the finish line.
In many ways, it was the beginning.
After the crisis came something I hadn’t expected:
Learning how to rebuild.
Learning how to trust.
Learning how to make decisions without fear.
Learning how to live instead of simply surviving.
Some days were full of hope.
Others were messy.
Most were ordinary.
And that’s where God quietly began changing me.
The Unexpected Turning Point
As I rebuilt my life, I began studying Scripture more deeply than ever before.
What started as a desire to understand the Bible became something much more personal.
Again and again, I found myself returning to one question:
Who does God say I am?
The deeper I studied, the more I realized something that changed the direction of this ministry.
The Bible doesn’t ask us to build our identity around our wounds.
It invites us to build our identity around Christ.
That realization changed not only how I saw myself…
It changed how I wanted to help other women.
Why I Started Restoring Her Strength
Restoring Her Strength began because I wanted to create the kind of place I desperately needed during my own rebuilding.
Not a place that ignores pain.
Not a place that pretends healing is easy.
But a place where women could find both compassion and truth.
A place where healing and practical rebuilding matter…
while always remembering that our foundation is Christ.
Our past explains part of our story.
It should never become our identity.
A Little More About Me
Outside of this ministry…
I’m a mom of four.
I have a background in nutrition and more than a decade working in healthcare.
I love learning, especially studying Scripture,
and I never imagined that an in-depth Bible study would become
one of the most life-changing experiences of my own healing journey.
These days you’ll usually find me surrounded by notebooks, commentaries, coffee,
and far more binders than any reasonable person probably needs.
And honestly…
I wouldn’t have it any other way.
If You're Still in the Middle of Your Story...
Maybe you’re just beginning.
Maybe you’ve been rebuilding for years.
Maybe today simply feels hard.
Wherever you are, I want you to know something.
There is hope.
Not because life suddenly becomes easy.
But because Jesus is faithful.
He restores.
He renews.
He gives new identity.
He is still writing stories of redemption.
Including yours.
Welcome
Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
I pray this website encourages you, points you toward Christ, and reminds you that no matter what your past holds…
